Classic Japan, right there. I particularly like the woman on the right in the window, dressed differently, by herself and looking out. She makes the picture seem to have a story to tell. Well done.

@GJC: Haha. Thanks. That was my intention- warm day, after school, kids come to the town center for ice cream and shop. I thought including that huge ice cream sign and the lady store owner gives more context than just focusing on the school girls alone.
Nice shot. It puts the lie to criticism that the movie Babel depicts Japanese school girl uniforms with skirts that are unrealistically short.

@Twelvebit: Really? I haven't seen that movie yet. I read an article online saying many movie-goers in Japan felt nauseous after seeing a scene in the movie where a school girl went dancing on stage infront of strong strobe light. (Thanks!)
I thought it is cold over there and still eating ice cream? I always wanted to go to japan. very beautiful place.

@Levine: I went in mid-September and it was quite warm actually. I recall it was 34c the day leaving Hokkaido. One day we had rain and it was very cold, but the rest of the time was about 25-27c. So ice cream is all good!
