Street photography is an art. I like the alternative angle.
Would it have worked to move closer and use a wider angle lens? It would emphasize the performer.

@Knut: Thanks Knut. I was using a Contax T3, it is 35mm with a f2.8 lens. If I was standing facing him, I would move a lot closer because the performer would be my focus. I shot from the back because nobody was behind him (space for me to compose), I want to see as to what he's seeing.

nice shot - often difficult, and intimidating (maybe wrong word) trying to take a shot when there are so many other photographers about. good job to go for this angle for something different.

@iced coffee: Thanks I.C. Sometimes you can't help it- like a tourist scenery spot- where you share the exact vision & picture as the millions who came before you. But, if I have a choice, I'll choose my own angle.
