Ok, you're absolutely right. I owned a Nikon D70, good camera, but I am fed up with that piece of shit auto focus mechanism not locking on, just once is enough to piss the hell out of me. I would switch to manual (which is ridiculous: why use manual on an AF lens?) and the focus ring just don't have the same precision like a manual lens. So- I sold it.
