happened one night a few autumns ago when I visited taipei. coincidentally, I was the 4th person at the scene because I had just gotten off a bus. anyway, the fire eventually engulfed much of this old neighborhood (mostly empty luckily because it's slated for new development) and was completely torn down by the city later.

today, this is what became of that neighborhood. notice the university's dormitory building in the background.
